Mother’s Day always feels like an unusual day to me. Even after a peaceful Sunday—completely separate from the occasion—a quiet sense of disconnection lingers. The conflicting emotions, the unspoken sorrow, and the intangible emptiness are feelings I’ve tried to express through words. This poem is my way of shaping that experience. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
These are my personal original poems, written in Dutch, and may be translated at a later time.
